Answer / santosh mahato

i think that, if we increase the field voltage from certain
limit then there will be a chance of sarturation in the
machines.

why can't we increase the voltage by increasing the field voltage in order to get higher volta..

Answer / subrata

I think there are two reasons..
1. Above a certain limit there is a chance of saturation.
2. We will not be able to provide suitable insulation in a rotating machine above a certain voltage.

why can't we increase the voltage by increasing the field voltage in order to get higher volta..

Answer / waqar ahmad

Every machine is designed for specific insulation level
against voltage level. So increasing voltage, insulation
can get puncture & as a result machine will get failure. so
voltage can't be increased from predefined / designed lavel.

why can't we increase the voltage by increasing the field voltage in order to get higher volta..

Answer / surendra

In which mode machine is running ,that basiclly tends to
decide the field excitation....apart from this if you
increse the fild excitation to high value saturation
occurs... losses will be more.....
