Answer / venkat
Transistor is semiconductor device basically it is available
in two type 1,NPN
2,PNP
Both type are used to different usage like switch amplifier
etc...
BIOS: Biasing means design the transistor by resister
and get different type of amplifier like CE, CB, CC.

transistor is nothing but transfer of signal from low
resistance path to high resistance path.bias is nothing but
for what values of dc supplies, transistor action will start
actually.

The transistor is a three terminal semiconductor device which is used either as a switch or an amplifier. Today,Different types of transistors are used in electronics field which depends on type of applications. For e.g. BJT,UJT,MOSFET,etc.BJT is a current controlled device where MOSFET and UJT are voltage controlled device.
The basic input/output system (BIOS), also known as the System BIOS or ROM BIOS is built into the PC, and is the first code run by a PC when powered on ('boot firmware').When the PC starts up, the first job for the BIOS is to initialize and identify system devices such as the video display card, keyboard and mouse, hard disk drive, optical disc drive and other hardware
