Step 1 --> Find total tank height (from top to bottom)
Value 1
Step 2 --> Find the empty space inside tank (from top to
just touching process fluid level) Value 2
Step 3 --> Value 1 - Value 2 == level of fluid in tank
compare the calculated value & Level transmitter value &
calibrate LT .
measure the values 1 & 2 by a standard measuring tape or a
master instrument.

how ranges is decided for drum level or dearator level,in my pplant i have seen for boiler drum range is -1000 to 1000mmwc, while for dearator -2000 to 0 mmwc ,why they decided to take this range ?
