Difference between transmission line and cable?when ever a
large water channel has to crossed it is easier to use
cable then transmission line why?

Transmission Line is a bare conductor while cable on the other hand has layers of insulation around the conductor.
To cross a Water channel we can use Cable but considering the "Cost" of Cable, Transmission lines are cheaper. Another reason for it is fault finding is easier in over head line than in cable.
