Answer / ajay kumar singh
For 100cum of finished concrete =152cum dry volume of
conc. Hence for 1cum the factor will be 1.52
Calculation of material in 1cum of (1:2:4)conc.
Cement=1.52/1+2+4=0.217cum
Sand=0.217*2=0.434cum
Metal=0.217*4=0.868cum

For 100cum of finished concrete =152cum dry volume of
conc. Hence for 1cum the factor will be 1.52
Ratio = 1:2:4 For 1m3
= total ingredients = 7
= For cement 1/7x1.52 = 0.217 m3
= For sand 2/7x1.52 = 0.434 m3
= For 20 mm 4/7x1.52 = 0.868 m3
----------
= 1.519 m3 = 1.52 m3

This 52 means dry volume to be considered always 50-55%. We can choose those 52 r 53 r 54. Bt mstly choose 52%.Hence it is 1m3 + 52%= 1+0.52 = 1.52. This s very crct answer.
