For column
When fc'=4000psi, Minimum lap length is 12 inch.
Or fy less or equal 60000 psi, lap length=0.0005*fy*db where
db is diameter of reinforcement in inch or mm.
When fy is greater than 60000 psi, lap = (0.0009fy-24)db
When fc' is less or equal 3000 psi, required lap will
multiply with 1.33333.
For Beam
In tension zone, Lap=60db, where db in mm.
In compression zone, Lap=44db, where db in mm.
For Slab
Lap=50db.

column - 50d
beam - 60d
1.for examble if u need 20mm dia column lapping 50 x 20 (dia) =1000 mm
then convert mm to inch 1000/25.4 =39.37 inch
finally your 20mm dia rod lapping lenght = 39.37 inch
2 .for examble if u need 20mm dia beam lapping 60 x 20 (dia) =1200 mm
then convert mm to inch 1200/25.4 =47.24 inch
finally your 20mm dia rod lapping lenght = 47.24 inch
