DIRECTION???

Answer / krishnakumar g
I assume capicitor run single phase induction motor. It has
two windings, one winding directly connected to supply and
another one connected through capacitor to produce a phase
shift in current. If we remove and connect the capacitor to
the other winding we can change direction of rotation. In
single phase induction motor we are using a capacitor to
behave as 2 phase supply.

Assume Single phase induction motor has Three terminals.
RED,
Yellow and Blue.
It has Two winding.
Where the Blue is neutral supply is common.
If the Capacitor current is leads Red to Yellow means;R.M.F flows Red to Yellow and running forward direction.
If the capacitor current leads Yellow to Red; then R.M.F will flow reverse. Rotating Magnetic Flux.
