self starting problem of single phase AC motors. Single
phase isn't able to create torque by different magnetic fields.
So capacitors etc. are used to overcome this problem.

when we use only single winding then no rotating flux so in
single phase motor is not actually single phase but split
phase mean 2 windings so that will produce rotating field
and rotor will move.
