what is ratio test?
Answer / ajeet pratap singh(power palnt
Ratio test is performed in transformers, CT , PT to know the actual voltage ratio .
here we will explain about PT ratio test.
As we know that PT contain Primary winding (A1 _ A2) & its secondary is S1 & S2.
Now Connect A2 to earthing link.Take 220 V ac supply from external source.
Connect A1 to phase of 220v & connect earthing link to neutral of 220 v AC.
Now use multimeter in secondary side.If PT ratio is 132/110/1.732
Then in secondary side multimeter will read 0.196volt. If this value is not found then ratio test is not ok.& voltage ratio is improper.
