an important test is the tan delta test or the dissipation
factor test
This is carried out with the help of an automatic scherring
bridge to measure the capacitance of the insulation
this is a measure of the integrity of the insulation or the
life expectancy of the transformer
the value of the dissipation factor should be more than or
equal to 0.7
