Depending upon the design of steam turbine, reheater in boiler is used to reheat the steam coming after work done from HP turbine and after maintaining required temp/pressure in reheater fed to IP/LP turbine

reheater is used to maximum utilisation of heat energy (in form of temp) available at exhaust of turbine which cannot converted due to high (more than 12%) water content in water vapour (to minimise corrosion of turbine blades)
