In ac motor,when dc supply is given what happend to the

Because in AC Motor the motor winding is according to ac
supply and its impedence is too high due to frequency but
when we will DC Power source to same type motor the
impedence of motor will go down due to no frequency this
cause high current flow through the motor winding and it
will be burn or damage.

motor doesn't run.
if the motore runs power loss is higher,efficiency of motor
is reduced.

the winding insulation get damage due to the mmf. the
insulation of the winding depends upon the volatge only not
on flux.
