A normal 2-Way repeater which utilizes either AC or DC
voltages will consume around 12 Amps in DC, and consume
only 4 Amps on AC.
The previous answer was correct in the supply side, but in
the consumer side, I wanted to show the difference in
comparison.
Most elecronics are similar in regards to this type of
ratio.

ac supply is used for the large circuits such as networks,power stations whereas DC supply is commonly used in the houses.
