power in DC circuit P = V*I
P = 12*4000
P = 48000 WATTS
so wanted power = 48000 watts
so, required KVA in DG set
KVA = POWER/POWER FACTOR
=48000/0.85
=56470.59 VA
=56.47 KVA
SO,REQUIRED KVA IN DG SET = 57 KVA (APPROX)

Charging current required is 10% of AH.So 12 x 400 watts
minimum has to be the capacity of the DG set i.e. minimum 5 KVA

Why it need to form a capcitor when it not been in use from three or two year. Plz describe it technically.
