Voltage is defined as a potential difference between
reference points. Voltage is a measure of potential difference.
Contrary to popular misconceptions, the difference in
potential does not cause current to flow.
Current will only flow if a path of meaningful impedance or
resistance(DC)is created across the reference points.
The potential difference measured in Volts. As I said before,
the difference acts as an accelerating force for electrons
to flow if a path is created.
An electrical path is known as a complete circuit.
When a circuit is connected to a voltage source it causes
electrons in conductors to be agitated and collide at a rate
proportional to the impedance of the circuit. This flow is
measured in Amperes and the flow is called Current.
I hope I answered your question.
