Why the transmision line are 11,33,63,132kv?..

Answer / ujjal

its for the form factor that is the ratio between rms value
and avarage value. it becomes constant as 1.11. so we can
generate ac voltage that is multiply of 1.11

mr.sunil for your information insulators are designed
according to lines, not the lines are designed for the
insulator disc, so please be sure before answering

Why the transmision line are 11,33,63,132kv?..

Answer / swapnil

coz of form factor which is 1.11 and emf eqn of t/f is also
multiple of form factor whichmakes easy for t/f to transmit
at these voltages

Why the transmision line are 11,33,63,132kv?..

Answer / shahid

transmission always done at high voltage becuase
1) To reduce losses, losses is(I2R) we step up
voltage simultaniously reduce current through
transformer as current is very less losses will
also be very less as losses is(I2R)
2) If we transmit at high current conducter size
will get increase because to increase current
resistance must be reduce. To reduce resistance
we have two way i.e either length of transmission
should decrease or area should increase because
resistance(r=$l/a)l=length,a=area
if we transmitt at high current size of conductor
will be very thick because length cant be reduce.

Why the transmision line are 11,33,63,132kv?..

Answer / nitin goyal

Its not form factor, if it was so then why there are 400KV
or 765 KV lines.
Answer to it is just a coincidence, It all started in 1881
when first hydroelectricity generator was set up in niagara
falls. That generator produced 110V and then onwards it all
started with that
So it is a mere coincidence that there are 11,33,66,132 KV lines

While connecting the flood light plug on to the 415 V distribution panel, there was spark and the cable got burnt. Three ignitors of the flood light also burnt of. The lamps are of 400 W (total 6 lamps) connected through 1.5 mm2 cable. The plug was immediately removed from the circuit. There was a 30 mA RCD connected and a 250 A MCCB; however both did not trip. What could be the possible reasons for the circuit devices not to trip? Can someone assist please. Additional info if needed can be provided.
