Causes of M/E high exhaust valve temperature
Answer / Aakash Bajpai
High exhaust valve temperatures in a main engine can be caused by: 1. Rich fuel mixture, which results in excessive combustion heat, 2. Inadequate cooling air or water supply to the valves, 3. Poor valve sealing due to wear, damage, or incorrect clearance, 4. Overheating of the engine cylinder liner, 5. Faulty exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system.
