derive DC RMS value for half wave rectifier?

derive DC RMS value for half wave rectifier?..

Answer / Deepika Rani

To derive the DC RMS value for a half-wave rectifier, you can use the following steps:

1. Calculate the RMS value of the AC voltage (Vrms).
2. Find the peak value of the AC voltage (Vp = sqrt(2) * Vrms).
3. Rectify the waveform by removing negative half-cycles.
4. Calculate the average DC voltage (Vdc) by integrating the rectified waveform over one cycle and dividing by the period of the AC waveform (T = 1 / frequency).
5. The RMS value of the DC output (Vdcm) is then given as Vdcm = (2/π) * Vdc.
