Well, basically AM broadcasting has several frequencies:
Long wave: works between 148.5 kHz and 283.5 kHz, with 9 kHz
channel spacing generally used.
Medium wave: works between 520 kHz and 1,610 kHz, spacing is
9kHz(American-10 kHz).
Short wave: works between 1.711 MHz and 30.0 MHz. It is
divided into 15 broadcast bands and uses 5 kHz spacing.
