VFD: Variable frequency drive
Input supply: 3phase AC 440V, 50HZ
Output: 3phase AC 440V, variable freq.
VFD is the speed controlling device for motor by using
frequency method OR V/F Method. In VFD 3phase ac supply
change into the DC and after the dc supply can control or
change by IGBT into 3ph ac supply. it can be change
frequency by triggering the IGBT gate by given supply
voltage to gate. According to gate activation it can change
or convert ouput supply into variable or desire supply.

VFD is known as Variable Frequency Drive, and is used in AC Electrical System for varying the speed of a 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor, by varying the output frequency of the drive. The AC voltage is initially converted into DC and the energy / POWER is stored in capacitors which is later inverted through IGBT (insulated gate bypolar transistor)
