work??

It can be expalined by example: in rainy seasons beacuse of
high wind velocity and other disturbances power line can
touch each other . This is recorded as fault by relay (
LG,LLG, etc) and which last for only second. So unnecessary
tripping will be there, so autoreclosure relay is there
which makes breaker to again on and continuing the supply

It closes the breaker after the set time automatically ,on
tripping. It has a timer switch to give closing command

When transient fault occurs in the line Breaker will trip &
re-close automatically with set time.
When permanent fault occurs in line the breaker will trip
and auto re-closer will block.

If single phase fault (any one particular phase to ground fault) exist in the transmission line AR will operate. But single phase fault should be in zone-1 of the protected line. Then only AR will perform. If fault is in transient in nature then particular line breaker will open and wait for dead time after that breaker will reclaim if fault is cleared then no problem other wise differential relay will initiate three pole trip. This AR is mainly to minimize the outages.
