CMS holds the system database which has the details about
the access detials whether the user have the access to that
deski report

CMS only direct the schedule request to the correct server.

So Withouit CMS we cant schedule or open the Deski report .

CMS has the support for the system database which accesses
the data of the user. So User must have authentication to
log in Business infoview to have the access with all reports
(Designer, DESKI, WEBI) with CMS. Nowadays only Webi
reports are used inspite has advance features than the
Deski.

Hence CMS server is very essential to hold and access the
reports that are to be scheduled.
We geerally click central management server > client servers
> web intelligence job server to configure > save to
destination tab > ok, therafter we again go on destination
tab >click on to enable the selected item.
Then we Go back to central management console and re start
the web intelligence job server > Open the report to be
schedule, Click on schedule option in the report.
and Select the format as Adobe Acrobat > Give the
destination location for the file > Click on schedule
button below right to run the job.

In development environment we had applied custom Order on Month which is having the following list of values September,October,March,August and December only.But in Production environment Month is having all LiSt of Values like 12 MOnths(Jan to Dec).So ,How it will effect the Sorting in production environmentof universe and as well as in reporting????? In source system we have os - windows BO - 5.1.5. with webi 2.7.1 Repository database - oracle Reports database - Oracle and DB2 Nearly we have 1200 reports in present system , i want to move as it is to new hardware os- windows bo- 5.1.5 with webi2.7.1 repository - oracle reports - oracle and db2 let me know is there any migration techniques in same version. thanks in advance Usha
