what is the primary current in 415/415 v when secondry of dry type transformer is shorted.?..

First calculate the short circuit current on the secondry
side. It will be = FLC/percentage inpedence X 100.

Now you can calculate primary current using tranformer
ratio.

what is the primary current in 415/415 v when secondry of dry type transformer is shorted.?..

It will be 139/4.7 x 100 = 3415 AMP on secondry side.

Since ratio is 1/1, primary current will also be 3415 AMP.

Hope it clear now. For any doubt, you can write me at

what is the primary current in 415/415 v when secondry of dry type transformer is shorted.?..

flc is 139amps .then impedance of the transformer is 4.07
then it is 34.15 amps.ratio is 1:1
is the primary current34.15?

If two induction motors A and B are identical except that the air-gap motor 'A' is 50 % greater than that of motor 'B', then

We have 11kV/110V three phase indoor potential transformer in 66/11kV Sub-station, where the failure of PT is frequently happening and the rating of the PT is 0.2 class accuracy, with primary star and seconday (two cores) star connected. Some experts has suggested to not to connect the PT Primary neutral to the ground because when transformer neutal NCT connection is loose; the faulty current will flow through the PT primary neutral, resulting into failure of PT. My question is: Is it necessary to remove the primary neutral connection of the PT from ground? if not, what would be the reason for failure of PT. Please guide me.
