is no particular reason for using maintenance batteries
only..

DG sets are always poised to start during an emergency, So
battery healthiness is important for the engine to start.
The healthiness of SMF (sealed maintenance free) batteries
cannot be ensured. If lead acid is used, by its Specific
gravity healthiness can be ensured during routine.

DG set are used mostly for companies and Domestic for
emergency only.So to start DG set batteries to be health.
To avoid starting delay Lead Acid Batteries only used
either free maintenance or Mantenanced battery.

if 2 coil of 1000W connect in series and 200 v is applied across it . then what is the total power of coil when coil have only resistive load .
