Macro BTS Type 3 is a high capacity IP base station with 4
carriers/3 sectors per rack. It supports EV-DO rA, IP
backhaul, and enhanced seismic durability. It is suitable
for outside of urban or rural areas.
The Capacity: 4 carriers/3 sectors/Per Rack
No. of channels: Max. 1,920 therefore Macro BTS is useful
for Outdoor Purpose.
Micro BTS:IP Flexell is an IP base station for rural area
with low capacity and wide area coverage or in-buildings.
It supports 1X EV-DO rA and IP backhaul and can be mounted
on a pole or a wall requiring minimum floor space.
Capacity: 1carrier/Omni
No. of channels: 128 CE/carrier/Omni
Therefore Micro BTS is used for Indoor Purpose.
