what is the difference between(Flame proof/Explosion proof)&
Fire proof instruments. Both are same or different & if
different in which way because the transmitter which have
approved ATEX flame proof enclouser but it use PTPE O ring
& PTFE Head Gasket,so its (fire safe/fire proof)????????

All the answers avoid the direct question. In my opinion
Falme Proof and Explosion Proof mean one and the same,
going through various indirect references.
Fire Proof is different, since the constuction of the items
must be of fireproof materials.Explosionproof or flameproof
need not necessarily be fireproof.

Flame proof or explosion proof intruments are used for
avoiding explosion and avoiding posibilities of short
circuit in highly flamable & explosive area.In this case
flamable media probably being gas,so flamable & explosive
gases catches fire in electric field.
Fire proof instruments are used for protection due to any
type of fire.
So,finally I would say that flame proof/explosion proof
instruments must be fire proof, but out of explosive or
flamable area we can use only fire proof instruments, there
is no need of flameproof instruments.

Flame Proof or Explosion proof equipment is used in a
Hazardous area where an explosion may occur due to
electrical short circuit or arching of contacts. The idea is
to contain any ignition that may occur inside the
fitting/enclosure such that it does not ignite any gas/dust
or other explosive media outside of the fitting/enclosure in
the general working environment.
Fire proof is just what it says and has nothing to do with
Atex OR Ex equipment, other than the fact that Atex OR Ex
equipment will usually be inherently fire proof because of
their design.
