WHY CURRENT DECREASES WHEN VOLTAGE IS INCREASED IN A CURRENT
TRANSFORMER ?

BECAUSE THE POWER OF EACH XMER IS EQUAL TO PRODUCT OF
CURENT AND VOLTAGE.SO P=VI SO WHEN VOLTAGE INCREASES THEN
CURRENT MUST BE DECREASE AND VICE VERSA.

CT are two type 1) Bar type & 2) wound type. In both case
secondary winding turns will be more, when current pass
thru the primary due to induction secondary will induced
voltage(prepotional to the ratio)will be very very high (ie
why CT should not be open circuited, cause insulation
failure and Ct damage)and reduce the quantity of current in
required preportion till the burden.
Remember the secondary current of CT is always preportional
to the primary current where as power TF is reverse.

if power factor comes in leading & showing -0.95. Is there any effect on electrical system? if yes, then please tell me what would be the effects. & how long we keep power factor in leading. Keeping power factor in leading shows more KW & less KVA is it correct or not.
