to better understand this let me first explain Embedded System:-
An embedded system is simply a device that contains a
computer or say microcontrollers to provide a very fixed set
of functions, to be more specific embedded system is
employed where time critical application are hosted and
response is required in real time.
let me Say PLC is a embedded system will you agree, plc is an
embedded system which have a microcontroller onboard and
runs a OS and provide a interface in order to communicate to
a high level programming language like ladder logic.and
basicaly used in controlling the input/output devices
depending on predefined condition or aquired during run time
employed normally where control volume is low <1000 and not
in real time ...

plc is an program logic controller (or) industrial
automation. It can controlled loads (industrial loads, home
applience loads..etc) for the coresponding inputs to the
specified plc kit (siemens,omran..).and we are designing
the programs(its not a c program, this designing only in the
drawing format) to the kit and implement it.
Embebbed system:
they have hardware and software complexcities and we are
using c language to develop a system. and this embedded
system is to control the each pins in a programming chip.
