Amoung all classes of electric machines, why the transformer uses oil as one medium of cooling?..

Answer / iamdon

The transformer has no rotating parts so there is no any
scope of natural cooling through draught.Only option left
is the use of transformer oil as cooling medium. The oil
circulates through fins which cools the transformer.

Other electric machines has a rotating part, which produces
draught.It helps in the cooling.
