there having two merits of neutral grounding , no. one is
that neutral gnd. help to give additional protection
against earth fault , second one is that it will give the
balance voltage by keeping neutral at zero potential

Answer No:5 is fully correct.
1. Prtects the equipment and passes the short circuit through the ground to the generating or sub-station.
2. If you do not ground the neutral, then you have a floating neutral which will cause imbalance in voltage of the other phases and the earth to neutral voltage will also come into play. Incase the other two phases have any single phase equipment hen they will get a lower voltage due to the floating neutral, which could be as high as 60-90 volts betweem earth and neutral, causing tube lights to dim etc.

its simple like water flows from ur overhead tank when the
tank is fully filled, same is the case with trafo
during fault condition the fault current passes thru trafo
neutral to ground and thus the electrical network's
components are safe (but not 100%).
in absence of which there will be a abrupt rise in the
voltage in 2 phases (as in case of 1ph-gr. fault)

Transformer's neutral is grounding Because, when any Fault
is Presence in the Transformer,Or wiring going to Short C-ct,
then then Flow of current is starting and by Using ground
Wire it reaches to the Grid Station,
and when any man touches it then Nothing happening to
it.Because of Ground Wire,
in Other Words, Man's life Can be Safe by Using Ground Wire...,

as said above v cant provide protection against all the
faults by groundin neutral. its onli 2 protect from phase 2
ground faults. wenever phase 2 ground faults occurs,
current wil take the return path 2 neutral 4m ground.so
the entire current wat that system delivers wil flow thro
the same phase wich was affected n to the groun(as its grnd
fault)then from ground to neutral(as its grounded). thus it
attains a closed path. the fuse of the same phase wil blow
out. thus by it protects the healthy phases n also the load
system

Generally H.T. side of trans.neutrol grounded through
resistor called NGR which is depends upon earth fault delay
time.At L.T. side neutrol grounded solidly .
This is because when earth fault occurs in phase, fault
current passes through neutral to earth immidiately to
avoide further damage to system.Earth fault protection
relay mounted on neutrel C.T.This relay operates properly.

If one 10 Hp 3phase induction motor connected in 380volt 50Hz. and again its connected to 380volt 60Hz. howmuch currrent and power take on both time?????
I have a small system with two motors that are running on 380 vac, 60 hz. These motors are expensive and I usally get them from Brazil. I am adding another motor to the system, but I want to purchase a 480 vac, 60 hz motor to use. It will be on a VFD that is rated fro 380 thru 480. Is this posible and will I have to use a larger motor and derate it?
