There are many points in switchyard which are earthed,so to provide low resistance path,we should have to increase moisture in soil and when there is raining water easily absorbed by earth or soil which increases moisture and provide low resistance path by which fault current easily transfer to ground and the stones which are used at switchyard work as a insulation b/w wet soil and living body or human.
