which type of breaker sould be used for different level of voltage ? (i.e at 11 Kv, 33 Kv, 66 Kv....

Answer / jyotirmaya patra

For 11KV Vaccum Circuit Breakers(VCB) are suitable to use.
Now-a-days SF6 (Sulphor Hexa Fluoride) breakers are
available but VCBs are economical than SF6 breakers.

For 33KV - both VCB & SF6 breakers can be used,but SF6
breakers are safer than VCBs. VCBs are more economical

For 66KV - SF6 breakers are the best to use

which type of breaker sould be used for different level of voltage ? (i.e at 11 Kv, 33 Kv, 66 Kv....

Answer / birinchi narayan boruah

For LT: 415 V
Use ACB (Air blast Circuit Breaker)
For 11KV and 33KV:
Use VCB (Vaccum Circuit Breaker) or SF6 CB (Sulphar Hexa Floride Circuit Breaker).
For 66KV, 132KV and 220KV:
use SF6 Circuit Breaker or Oil Circuit Breaker
