Future in design P&id is always better surely it will help
to widen ur knowledge but as far as my point of view as an
electrical engineer u have lot many core(Electrical) fields
to do career.
Knowledge of instrumentation is always help u lot since in
many industries work OF Instrumentation engineer done by
electrical Engineer.

Instrumentation is a vast field and its ever green field as
long as the industries are there to to produce our daily
needs But as an electrical engineer better you should go
for electrical testing also parellaly. But designing fiels
itself got lots of scope in both elcl and insmn. ok
