when we r measuring very low pressure :: mmWC
and measuring high pr. :: kg/cm2/bar/psi... ok
for example we r measuring like boiler furnaces
pressure(draft) i.e very low pr.(250mmWC) so we r measuring
in mmWC, and when we r calibrating the transmitters (flow
and level) that time also we r calling transmitters range
also mmWC ok
here note the point is 10,000 mmWC = 1 Kg/cm2 then
1mmwc=0.0001kg/cm2 ok

Mostly both are units of pressure. when we measure the very
low pressure than it is expressed in mmwc else higher
pressures are measured in kg/cm2. low pressure can also be
used for but the error in values will be more.
Basically 10000 mmwc is 1 kg/cm2 a.

N/m2 is SI Unit and Kg(f)/cm2 is MKS Unit.
1 Kg/cm2 is 1.033 bar or 1.033x10^5 N/m2
10000 mmwc= 1 kg/cm2

both r units for pressure,.but,mmwc(millimeter water column)is
very low pressure means less than zero.here, 10000mmwc=1kg/cm2.we may consider the mmwc as vaccum.

MMWC (MILIMETR WATER COLOUM)IS A LOW PRESSURE MEASURING UNIT USE FOR LOW MEASURING AS GAS FLOW ETC AND ONE KG =10,000 MMWC.
MOSTLY USE IT INTO SAMPLE FLOW OF GASES IN ANALYSER AND FLOWMETER AND PREESURE SETTING of pressure switch also.

Answer / chirag darji
both r units of pressure itself..but when the system is in
vacuum then the pressure measured in mmwc and the positive
pressure measured by kg/cm2.so for low pressure mmwc used
and for high pressure kg/cm2 is used..

To measure low pressure we need to use this unit of
pressure Hence 10000mmwc=1kg/cm2
