DPT means differential pressure Transmitter.
As name says it measure difference in pressure between two different points. So, say for example if an action is to be taken depending upon the pressure difference between these two areas (delta P), DPT only can be used not PT.
PT only measures live pressure.

If we use PT then we have to use two PT at both the points
and then calculate the difference.

How Honeywell FSC is functioning and what is its purpose? Can we bypasa it and only use DCS instead of that.
