if u have to run a 300kw moter then what is ur choice HT or
LT switchgear & explain why?

Answer / vinoth
For 300 KW motor we can use LT switchgear. Current consumption of a 300KW motor will mot be more than 1000A. So LT switch gear is possible to use

Answer / muralidaran - itc
It depends on Application. In HT conductor sizes will be
less & also motor will be more compact since current flow
will be less, but insulation level be more.
HT will be my choice, if speed controll is not required.
LT will be my choice, if speed controll is required (VFD)
Since HT VFDs are quiet high in cost.

Depends upon application.
if all other motors are operated on HT/LT then 300 KW motor
should be opertaed on HT/LT respectively.
If your generation is HT and you want operate on LT then
you have to install VCB, Transformer, ACB and size of cable
will be more as compared to HT but less insulation will be
required.
If you want to operate 300 KW on HT then no need of
transformer,ACB, only XLPE cable will be used.

who is make controlling in the reactive power that genarted in AS genrator(the exitaion currnt or exitation voltge)
what precautions to be taken while desigining a LT,HT panel. Eg-LT panel PCC panel with ACB installed. HT panel VCB panel with VCB installed. & what is main diffrence betwn IP54 & IP55 construction of panel.
What are protection of transformer on HT side & on LT side?

a)In a 3-phase 4-wire circuit, a circuit breaker is selected to protect the circuit whose highest fault level is 6.6 MVA. Determine the required minimum breaking capacity in kA. (Note: Covert 3-phase power in terms of kA to find answer.) b)Using the below, determine the required minimum making capacity in kA as a “peak value”. Rate breaking capacity (Icn) ka: Icn<= 1.5 Factor = 1.41 1.5
