1.What is the proper definition of power system stability?
2.some times a blue spark is visible in the secondary side
of a distribution transformer at the contact position of
bushings and fuse wire,why?
Answer / t.swaminathan
1.System stability is generally continuos maintenance of
power with proper voltage levels. Mainly it means the GRID
VOLTAGE CONDITION / REFERRED DOWN TO THE 11 KV LEVEL.
SYSTEM IS SAID TO BE STABLE IF PROPER VOLTAGE IS MAINTAINED
WITH RATED FREQUENCY.
IT GETS AFFECTED WHENEVER THERE IS BREAKDOWNS OF
TRANSMISSION LINES/POWER GENERATION.in which case the load
is to be met by lessor power momentarily, till the
generation picks up referred to the lower/higher frequency
due to the breakdown.
2. This is simply because the connection in the LT side of
the transformer is not proper. ( loosened ).
