I answered YES!
Tubelight starter is just like a push button. Not of use
once the system is started. When u have switched on the
supply in the TL touch and remove the contacts of the 2
terminals that were to be connected to the starter a several
times so that u generate appropriate di/dt, until the
required voltage is induced in the choke coil that u'll see
as light starting glowing

The mercury atoms in the fluorescent tube must be ionized
before the arc can "strike" within the tube. For small
lamps, it does not take much voltage to strike the arc and
starting the lamp presents no problem, but larger tubes
require a substantial voltage

I want to ask a question which i faced during testing of Capacitive Voltage Transformer in AIS. We have measured the C1 , C2 individually , but when we start to measure the total C1+C2 , the testing equipment shuts down and says low loading. Kindly is it possible to find the total capacitance by using measuring device. kindly briefly explain the procedure.
