How to calculate the cement, sand quantity for plastering? (10'x10')10mm thick ratio 1:5...

Answer / shaik's construction

For a wall of 10'x10' ( i.e LxH) Having 10mm thicness
mortar ratio 1:6
10' approx equal to 3m
vol of mortar = 3*3*0.01
               =0.09cum
vol of cement = 1*0.09/(1+6)
              =0.01286cum        :-(cement for 1cum=1440kg)
:-amount of cement=0.01286*1440
                  =18.5kg.
amount of sand=18.5*6=111kg

How to calculate the cement, sand quantity for plastering? (10'x10')10mm thick ratio 1:5...

Answer / anoop didwaniya

10'X10'=100 sft.
converted in to sqm.=100/10.76=9.29 sqm.
ratio= 1:5, 1+5=6
for cement----1/6 x 1.52=.25 m3 x 35.28=8.93/1.25=7.15
so 7.15 bag in a cum. so for 20mm thk.
for cum. 9.29 sqm x .020 mm = .18 cum.
therefore --7.15 x .18m3 = 1.28 bag answer
for sand------5/6 x 1.52=1.26 m3 x 35.28=44.68 cft./1cum.
so 44.68 x .18m3 = 8 cft answer
1.28 bag of cement
8 cft of sand. required in 10'10 wall with 20mm thk.

How to calculate the cement, sand quantity for plastering? (10'x10')10mm thick ratio 1:5...

Answer / risadh

Formula=Volume*Density of material
Add- Shirinkage-35%to40%
Volume= plastering volume+Depression,joint&Wastage
Density=Cement-1440Kg/m3,Sand-1600Kg/m3
Shirinkage-35%to40%
Depression,joints&Wastage normally-20%of plastering Volume
Cement=(1/6*0.11124*1440)+(1/6*0.11124*1440)35%=
Sand=(5/6*0.11124*1600)+(5/6*0.11124*1600)35%=
