Scott connection is a means of converting 3 phase supply
into 2 phase supply.
The angle between two phases is 90 degree.
It is employed with the help of transformers namely

converting 3-phase to
2-phase transformations or vice versa. generally,2 identical
transformers are purchased as
that they can be interchangeable. This requires an 0.866 tap
on one transformer and a
midwinding tap on the other.

scott connection (scott T-transformer) is a type of circuit used to derive two-phase (2-φ) current from a three-phase (3-φ) source or vice-versa. The Scott connection evenly distributes a balanced load between the phases of the source. The Scott-T transformer connection may be also be used in a back to back T to T arrangement for a three-phase to 3 phase connection.
