Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / bhanu
kw is value of power reading
kva is rating of any machine
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 8 Yes | 3 No |
Answer / sajid hussain
kw is the true power which is consumed in the circuit while the KVA is the product of rms value of the voltage and current
known as apparent power.
Kw= v*i*cosA/1000 1- Phase
Kw= Sqrt3*v*i*cosA/1000 3- Phase
KVA = KW/CosA
KVA=VA/1000
Here Cos A = Power factor

KW=VIcosine of p.f.angle=Active power
KVA=VI=Apparent power
KVAR=VI sine of p.f. nagle
VIcosine of p.f.angle
So p.f.= _______________________
Apparent power

Answer / arulkumaran
KW = POWER FACTOR CONSUMED,
(E.G) Electrical loads, Generator.
KVA = NOT CONSUMED THE POWER FACTOR,
(E.G) Transformer.
KVA = KW / Power factor.

Answer / annoo kumar prajapati
KW is energy consumed by circuit and KVA is actual suply like (220V, 440V) TO the circuit.
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 0 Yes | 0 No |
Answer / katoch
kw is the active power while kva is the reactive power.
kw = kva/power factor of system
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 6 Yes | 12 No |
Answer / dev singh
KVA = KW * CosA
Here Cos A = Power factor
which is depend upon load factor
