freequency converter converts the level of frequency where
as inverter changes d.c to a.c and vice versa...

frequency converter you can change the frequency only , but
in the inverter you can change the voltage in rated to
frequency as : v/f = constant , this type make a torque more
efficient than the first method.

in HVDC transmission system ,monopolar link has one conductor usually a negative polarity and use ground or sea return ?through negative polarity we could pass electricity or not yes means how it is possible
