the process of measuring the response of an instrument to a particular input and correcting the response to a predetermined value and repeating this in increasing and decreasing orders throughout the range of the physical parameter to be measured is called calibration.

Calibration is matching of the standard value of
instrumentation. Which gives Instrument society
of America (ISA) in 1968. Or matching of the value of
master (True) Instrument. 4 mA to 20 mA
3 PSI to 15 PSI, 0 % to 100 % etc.

of the sensor. Typically, a sensor (or an entire instrument
system) is calibrated by providing a known physical input
