lighting arrester is always depends on its hight
covering area= 1.5 * hight of pole
for example , hight of pole is 10m then it can cover
15m area

lightig arrester is not depends just on its hight
it is depend on angle around the LA
ANGLE IS 60 DEGREE
so LA coverd he area around 60 degree of top to bottom.

It is depends upon your LA spikes. In my career i saw 30, 60
and 90m peripheral area.

how can we minimize the off load losses of a distribution transformer which is required to be energized 24x7 ?? capacity of the T/F is 1250 KVA and off load losses are around 2.0 KW.. can we use capacitor bank at the secondary of such a T/F to overcome off load losses? please elaborate briefly...thanks

in our all power plant have connected in grid and grid voltage and plant voltage is same, but as per as electrical concept the power will transmit from high potential to low potential but here altough same,then how power transmit from power plant to grid.
