The symmetry of peek is 1.0 less than one means peak
fronting or greater than one means peak tailing. But it had
a limit NLT 0.85 NMT 1.5

if the peak asymmetry is not with in the range (0.9 to 1.5)
is called peak tailing .

If the peak symmetry is not in the range of 0.9 to 1.2 , then it is called peak tailing or asymmetric peak

Peak tailing in GC might be due to system leaks.
Or incorrect polarity of the column and analyte.

i set electrode to 7 buffer than i used it to check 4 buffer and 10 buffer if the results are not as expected than is it better to set the buffer again to 4 buffer or is there any other method available please let me know ...
