earth pin is bigger in length nd also in dia because having
more length ensure that earth pin is connected first in
circuit nd more dia of pin means less resistance so extra
current will pass first from it.

If the Earth is healthy or if touch first in the circuit,if there is problem in the circuit or malfunction, it won t affect the system,circiut get cut off.Its is like a periorty purpose.
