turbo charger is a device used in the exhaust because
exhaust gases cause the shaft of tubocharger to rotate,
which is connected to the shaft of the compressor ,due to
which the compressor sucks more air and delivers the air at
high pressure

it helps making the engine compact,it also helps in
redution costs.

Every body thinks that super charger increase the efficiency of the engine which is a wrong concept.The super charge increase the power to weight ratio but not the efficiency. The turbo super charger pumps more air (oxygen) into the cylinder so that more fuel can be burnt in the cylinder which increase the power so the same engine can develop more power by using the turbo charge compared to with out super charge, hence power to weight ration increase but not the efficiency

Turbo charge is used / fitted to exhaust side of the DG set.
its function is to supply hot gases to engine for quick
ignition purpose. actually natural suction air from filters
are cold and takes little bit more time for catch ignition.

turbo charger is a mechanism in which the hot gases from the
exhaust chamber in cylinder get recirculated again through
the cylinder, which increases in the performance and the
initial torque.
