The main difference between ups and inverter is time of
swiching of relays in internal.in ups this time is 3 to 4
ns and in inverter this time is 30-40 ms.

UPS having both converter and inverter. The converter
is to convert AC to DC and the inverter is to convert DC to
AC. The UPS uses either off line or on line.
The inverter is works only when the DC source
available, otherwise it is not working. It is used only for
off line purpose.

Main difference between ups and inverter is continuity of electrical power supply maintain by ups. But in case of inverter it takes some time to restart.

UPS is nothing but uninterpretable power supply it can store
and discharge the DC supply during power cut. But inverter
convert the dc to ac.

The Basic difference between UPS and Invertor is of
switichover time .This S. O. time is considerably very
small in cse of Ups.ans does not intruppt electronics
load.
