What are the different power system losses and how can it be eliminated?..

Answer / Vandna

Power System Losses:
1. Resistance Loss: Occurs due to resistance in conductors.
2. Reactance Loss (Capacitive and Inductive): Results from capacitance and inductance in the circuit.
3. Transformer Losses (Copper loss and Iron loss).nTo minimize these losses, one can consider the following measures:
1. Use of low-resistance conductors.
2. Proper insulation of cables to reduce heat generation.
3. Applying proper loading to transformers.
4. Using efficient designs for power transmission lines.
