when the wave form of ac is pure sinosoidal wave than it
not contain any harmonic..but if wave distorted (not pure
sine wave) than that is if contain multipuls of fundamental
frequency component it is called harmonics ..and it cause
due to non-linear load such as thyrister controlled
rectifier etc

I'm generating a pulse of 3V with frequency 80Hz (12.5ms time period) and pulse duration 0.125ms and feeding it to a transformer since i want the pulse to get amplified around 60V. At the output amplification s happening but the pulse is changed to a spike, can you tell me what could be the reason? (an ordinary transformer 220V-12V stepdown transformer is reverse connected ie. now it is 12V-220V stepup and voltage amplification happens)
in our sub station why we step down firstly 33kv\11kv then 11kv to 430v. can we direct step down 33v to 430.v.

How much ampere rating on LT side of distribution transformer and also on HT side of 200KVA transformer
what is meant by 3rd hormonics ?
Actually why the transformers are rated in KVA.?
If two transformers same rating(11KV / 440V)connected in the same primary line(11KV), can we connect(bus coupler) secondary side directly or need a synchronization????
